When to book

Aim to ask by Sunday, March 21, 2027

Mid-May weekends also carry graduations and spring festivals, so the calendar fills from several directions. Six to eight weeks of notice is a comfortable target.

A suggestion based on roughly 8 weeks of notice, not a deadline. Nothing is booked until you confirm.

Eid al-Adha

A food truck for Eid al-Adha.

Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, comes at the end of the Hajj season. Plenty of families in Northern Virginia and Maryland spend the first day at prayer and visiting relatives, and the following days at picnics and get-togethers with friends.

We are a street-food truck, not a qurbani service, so think of us as the meal at your gathering: lamb gyros, chicken shawarma and grill favorites cooked to order. Through the late 2020s the holiday falls in spring, which puts parks and backyards on the table.

Planning tips

  • Many park pavilions in the region take reservations months out, so book the space before the truck.
  • Plan for heat: a shaded spot for the line and cold water on the menu.
  • Share both expected dates with us, plus your start time after prayer.

Event ideas

Ways to book the truck for Eid al-Adha.

  1. Park picnic on day two

Reserve a pavilion, invite the families from school and the masjid, and let the truck handle lunch while the kids run around.

  2. Masjid community meal

A sponsor-hosted tab after prayer feeds volunteers and visitors without anyone standing over a stove in the masjid kitchen.

  3. Eid plus graduation

In May the holiday can land on a graduation weekend. One truck can cover both celebrations at the same backyard party.
