Bloom & bites
Pink trees, hot food, first spring party.
Late March into April is when the region steps outside again. Neighborhood blossom walks, office spring kickoffs and spring-break parties all want food outdoors.

When to book

Spring dates fill once the weather turns. Five to six weeks ahead is a comfortable target, with a backup date in case of rain.
A suggestion based on roughly 6 weeks of notice, not a deadline. Nothing is booked until you confirm.
Cherry blossom season gatherings
Peak bloom for the Tidal Basin cherry trees varies every year and usually lands in late March or early April. The official National Cherry Blossom Festival runs downtown, and we are not part of it. This page is about your own gatherings during the season.
Neighborhoods with their own cherry trees, like Kenwood on the Bethesda and Chevy Chase line, draw crowds on bloom weekends, and offices plan spring kickoff lunches as soon as it is warm enough. A private event with the truck lets your group enjoy the season without fighting downtown crowds for lunch.
Event ideas

A neighborhood with its own blooming trees hosts a stroll and a truck for lunch at the end of the street.
Kids are off school, relatives visit for the blossoms, and the truck feeds everyone at home.

Marinated chicken with fresh vegetables and garlic sauce.

Seasoned shrimp and melted cheese in a toasted tortilla.

Grilled chicken, peppers, onions and melted cheese.

Crispy mozzarella sticks with a melty center.

Classic funnel cake dusted with powdered sugar.
