The truck your fall festival is missing.
School fall festivals, church harvest fairs, HOA fall fests and farm-day open houses. September through mid-November is festival season in the region, and the truck is built for it.

When to book
Inside the usual lead time
October Saturdays are busy for every caterer around here, so earlier gives you more choice. Festivals that reach out in spring or early summer have the most options.
Dates close to the holiday can still be open. Ask anyway, or check short-notice booking.
Fall festivals & harvest fairs
Fall is the busiest outdoor season around DC: the summer heat breaks, school is back, and every PTA, congregation and neighborhood association seems to schedule its festival between Labor Day and Thanksgiving.
Festival food has to move fast and work for a mixed crowd. A focused menu keeps the window moving, the halal menu covers families who usually skip festival food, and funnel cake and churros cover dessert. Organizers can run it as pay-your-own or sponsor a tab.
Event ideas
Hayrides, pumpkin painting and a bake sale, with dinner from the truck by the field.
Crafts and games on the grounds, the truck in the lot, families staying through the afternoon.
A cul-de-sac or clubhouse party with a costume contest and a truck that stays open all afternoon.

Thin-sliced steak, grilled onions and peppers, melted cheese.

Golden, crispy and easy to grab on the go.

Chicken street tacos with onion, cilantro and lime.

Golden chicken nuggets, easy to share.

Classic funnel cake dusted with powdered sugar.

Warm cinnamon-sugar churros.
