Gold-star lunch
Feed the people who teach.
Teacher Appreciation Week is the first full week of May. PTAs book a hot lunch in the staff lot, so teachers get a real meal during a short break.

When to book
Aim to ask by Monday, February 22, 2027
Every school in the region wants the same five days. PTAs that reach out in February or March have the most choice.
A suggestion based on roughly 10 weeks of notice, not a deadline. Nothing is booked until you confirm.
Teacher Appreciation Week
The next Teacher Appreciation Week runs May 3 – 7, 2027, Monday to Friday, with National Teacher Day on the Tuesday. PTAs at schools across Fairfax, Loudoun, Montgomery and Prince William counties plan the week months ahead.
Teachers usually get a short lunch period, so speed matters more than variety. We plan a focused menu, open the window right at the lunch bell, and keep the line moving so staff can eat sitting down.
Event ideas
The truck parks by the staff entrance and serves each lunch period as it comes.
Include bus drivers, custodians, aides and cafeteria staff in the headcount so nobody is missed.
A relaxed early-evening meal for staff and their families after the final bell.

Marinated chicken with fresh vegetables and garlic sauce.

Grilled chicken, peppers, onions and melted cheese.

Chicken street tacos with onion, cilantro and lime.

Hot, crisp golden fries.

Warm cinnamon-sugar churros.
Event menus and pricing are quoted per event.
