Late April and early May fill quickly because spring events stack up. Six weeks ahead is a good target.
A suggestion based on roughly 6 weeks of notice, not a deadline. Nothing is booked until you confirm.
Cinco de Mayo
A food truck for Cinco de Mayo.
Cinco de Mayo marks the Mexican army’s 1862 victory at the Battle of Puebla. In the United States it has become a spring celebration of Mexican-American culture, and around DC it shows up as office lunches, school fiestas and backyard parties.
This year the fifth falls on a Wednesday. When it lands midweek, plenty of parties move to the weekend before or after. Our tacos and quesadillas are halal, which matters when the guest list includes Muslim coworkers or neighbors who usually skip the taco bar.
Planning tips
- Early May overlaps with Teacher Appreciation Week and spring sports, so claim your date early.
- Tell us whether guests want mostly tacos or a mix, and we plan the griddle around it.
- Have a plan for shade if your party runs through the afternoon.
